Garner Twin Artists Double up on Creativity

As 1in9 prepares for the “A Pink Tie Affair” gala, we have had the opportunity to meet a number of very generous, as well as talented individuals who are contributing items and support for our silent and live auction.
One of these individuals is Vincent Wood, a local artist who is donating one of his paintings he recently completed specifically for the event. Vincent and his brother were recently profiled on WRAL’s TarHeel Traveler. Take a look at this video to find out more about these gifted artists.

A Pink Tie Affair

In 2011, 1in9 started with a goal of raising awareness of the incidence of breast cancer in women. Along the way, we realized that we could also help patients continue or complete their treatments. Through the support of Friends of 1in9, we helped over 20 women. Women like Ms. B, Ronda, Shana and others whose stories we shared on this site.

To celebrate 1in9’s one-year anniversary and more importantly, to kick-off our 2012 goal of supporting 80 breast cancer patients. We are excited to announce A Pink Tie Affair. A gala evening of celebration and entertainment, with both a live and silent auction all supporting the 1in9 mission.

We look forward to seeing you on February 18th at A Pink Tie Affair.
